Student Services Specialist - this will be split between Landis and Millbridge

 

Job Title: Student Services Specialist

 

Reports to: School Principal & Student Services Director

 

Position Overview: The Student Support Specialist plays a vital role in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for students in the Rowan-Salisbury School System.

Collaborating closely with school counselors, this position focuses on delivering targeted academic, behavioral, and social support to empower students to thrive in their educational journey.

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related
• Experience working with students in an educational
• Familiarity with behaviorally challenged students is preferred, though not

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Implement behavioral interventions for students experiencing difficulties, ensuring timely and effective support.
• Monitor and assess behavioral changes, documenting outcomes to inform ongoing

strategies.

• Develop and conduct engaging classroom lessons on essential topics such as social skills, decision-making, problem-solving, self-esteem, character development, and academic success.
• Collaborate with the School Counselors, Student Services Director, and Student Support Specialists to create a cohesive support network.
• Participate in system-level, faculty, departmental, and intervention meetings focused on

the needs of at-risk students.

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and assignments, ensuring all documentation is submitted promptly.
• Perform additional duties related to the support of students and the school counseling

department as needed.
